Jawan stuntman ‘amazed’ at Shah Rukh Khan’s dedication, humility: ‘He took the blame when a shot went wrong’

Tales of Shah Rukh Khan being a gentleman are told by everyone he meets. The latest person to be enamoured by his charm is a stuntman from Jawan, Saddam. The action star-dancer, who was also seen in Dance Deewane in a recent interview spoke about SRK’s kindness, dedication and passion towards his craft.

In a video, that’s doing rounds on social media, Saddam called Shah Rukh Khan the ‘sweetest banda’. He further shared how he’s not seen a more dedicated actor than him. “The heroes I work with are usually rough, who come and say I will do this and that. But he was not like that. He asked me how I am going to do that stunt, and checked on the safety. He was worried that I would get hurt and I briefed him about how it was safe,” he shared in Hindi.

The stuntman further shared that SRK would take initiative on the Jawan set and discuss the stunts. He added that the ‘best thing’ about him was how he checked on him after the shot. “Tu thik hai? (are you okay)” he would ask. “Also, if the shot went wrong, he would immediately say it was his fault. I was amazed at what kind of a star he is. SRK is really different from anyone I have worked with,” Saddam added.

He also recalled a particular scene where SRK’s hand had to be tied back and he had to fight some men. The stuntman shared how SRK said he will do it himself and gave a one-take shot. He added that he did not even put a mat on the floor, which usually one adds for comfort.

Earlier scheduled to release in June, Jawan’s makers recently announced that the film will now release in theatres on September 7. The Atlee film has Shah Rukh Khan starring alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.

In June 2022, a title announcement video showed a sneak peek of the film that intrigued the audience. It was one of the three titles of SRK that was scheduled to release in 2023. This year, Shah Rukh has already created history with his film Pathaan making it one of the biggest Hindi box office successes of all time. The film made over Rs 1000 crore globally. After Jawan, he has Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki that is eyeing a December release.
