Priyanka recently grabbed headlines for allegedly walking out of Jee Le Zaraa also starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt. While the movie's fate is speculated across social media with fans lamented at the delay and various updates, Priyanka Chopra has yet again made headlines for an old video.
In the viral video, the Citadel star was seen describing Bollywood movies. The said video is from the 2016’s Emmy Awards, and PeeCee can be seen talking about Hindi movies.
The actress tells an interviewer that in Hindi movies, everything is about the hips and the bo*bs. It was a question about dancing in Hindi movies and that's how PC described it. She proceeds to dance about on the red carpet.
A clip of her interview has resurfaced on Reddit where Priyanka was asked about dance moves in Indian movies. PeeCee was spotted saying, “With Indian movies, everything is about hips and bo*bs." Chopra also showed some moves in the latter half. Well, her words haven’t gone well with a lot of people.
Well, Priyanka’s statement naturally had grave ramifications and her comments about Bollywood did not go well with the netizens. They lambasted her for depicting Indian movies in a bad light.
A user wrote: "Accha hai chali gayi. Some people can’t live without gora validation."
One user wrote, “I know there are a lot of issues with the Indian movie industry but the way she constantly s**t talks about the Indian industry on an international platform is so annoying. Plus the image she presents is so outdated. She does it for brownie points there & that makes me more annoyed lol.”
Another wrote, “Her whole demeanour is so fake, from the hair on her head to her toenail.”
A third user said, “And you have got none of them so gl. saw what you did in all your Hollywood ventures. No one objectifies the females as much as Hollywood and the West does.No wonder some shitty Indians are swallowing all of their crap.”
One user went a step ahead and schooled Priyanka over her lack of common knowledge. “Clearly Priyanka Chopra has no idea about the Indian classical dances that have inspired Bollywood. Sri Devi, Vyjayanthimala, and Aishwarya Rai were taught in Bharatnatyam, Madhuri in Kathak, Meenakshi Sheshadri was trained in Odissi and Kathak along with other dance forms, Alaya F is trained in Kathak too.”
