Kangana Ranaut says Aamir Khan was once her ‘best friend’ but he made his ‘loyalties clear’ after Hrithik Roshan episode
Kangana Ranaut shared that Aamir Khan was once her 'best friend'. She also mentioned that he 'mentored' her but things changed after Hrithik Roshan sued her.
Kangana Ranaut, on a recent Instagram story, claimed that Aamir Khan was once her “best friend.” Kangana shared a clip from one of the episodes of Aamir’s television show Satyameva Jayate and said that he mentored her but things changed after actor Hrithik Roshan sued her as Aamir made his “loyalties clear.”
Kangana shared on her story, “Actually mujhe bhi kabhi kabhi voh din yaad aate hain jab Aamir sir was my best friend… jaane kahan gaye voh din (Sometimes I think of the days when Aamir sir was my best friend. Wonder where those days went.)” She continued, “One thing is for sure he has mentored me appreciated me and shaped a lot of my choices, before Hrithik did that legal case on me post that they made their loyalties clear it was one woman against entire industry.”
Kangana claims she and Hrithik were in a relationship that went sour while Hrithik contests her contention. The two filed cases against each other and made many allegations in the public sphere.
The fan video that Kangana shared on her story had Kangana talking about taking a stand against “item songs” and how she had refused six item songs in 3-4 years. Kangana appeared on this episode with Deepika Padukone and Parineeti Chopra. In the video, Kangana can be heard saying, “A friend’s daughter was rehearsing the steps of a vulgar item song. Though she looked cute, I thought she would want to do it again for acceptance, or applause. For that, I felt responsible and I took a stand. In the last 3-4 years, I refused 6 item songs.”
Aamir was last seen in Laal Singh Chadha, which failed miserably at the box office. The film faced the #BoycottBollywood brigade and many believed that this was one of the reasons behind the film’s bad reception. Kangana had then shared on social media, “I think all the negativity around the upcoming release Laal Singh Chadda is skillfully curated by mastermind Aamir Khan Ji himself. This year, no Hindi films have worked (barring one exception of a comedy sequel) only south films deeply rooted in Indian culture or with local flavour have worked. A Hollywood remake would have not worked anyway.”
