Bigg Boss gave a twist to the eviction process this week. Though the voting lines were closed, Bigg Boss 16 witnessed a surprising elimination. Ankit Gupta was evicted after the contestants named him for contributing the least on the reality show. The actor's elimination was announced much after Salman Khan shot his Shanivaar Ka Vaar episode. After Ankit left Bigg Boss 16, IndiaToday.in sat for an exclusive interview with the Udaariyaan actor. In a conversation with us, the actor spoke about his eviction and social media trends for him.

Speaking exclusively to IndiaToday.in, Ankit reacted to his fans trending NO ANKIT NO BIGG BOSS on Twitter. The trend had over 1 million tweets on the social platform. The actor was surprised to know the same and said, "Wow! I have no words. I am so grateful and thankful for all the love and support. This is amazing. Over 1M, oh my god! I am actually very happy. This is overwhelming."
ANKIT GUPTA ON HIS EVICTION
When Ankit was asked if he expected his eviction from Bigg Boss 16, the actor added, "Honestly, I didn't think it would happen. Since Christmas and Salman sir's birthday was approaching in a few days, everyone thought there would be no eviction this week as well. When the episode was shot and even after it was completed, there was no mention of eviction. So, we were relaxed. But after 1 and a half hours, Bigg Boss made an announcement and the eviction happened."
Meanwhile, it was reported that the actor would star in Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta's show for Colors TV. However, Ankit has denied being approached for any such TV show. He is best known for his role in Udaariyaan.
